Donald Trump elected U.S. president after a tumultuous campaign

Republican Donald Trump has been elected president, four years after he was voted out of the White House. On Wednesday (Nov. 6) he secured more than the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency, Edison Research projected.
