What they got
The quarter-acre property has a mountain view and is steps to the lakeshore. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom, 2,884-square-foot bungalow was built in 1950 and has been totally renovated.
There is an open concept living and dining area with folding doors that open to a deck, fireplace, master bedroom with a walk-in closet, ensuite bathrooms for all bedrooms, office space, and mudroom. The new double garage has electric vehicle plug-in.
The action
The buyers, a professional couple, already lived in the neighbourhood and wanted to upgrade to a nicer house. They’d made an offer on the Abbott property last summer but they couldn’t remove the subject to finance because their own home didn’t sell. But after taking their home off the market they finally found a buyer in January, and they made a new offer for the Abbott property.
The agent’s take
“We all had a devil of a time. There was a lot of juggling going on,” Mr. Deacon says. “The buyers were super keen on the home and really did everything they could to make it go through. We worked to get it over the line.”
There were no other offers.
