What they got
The 830-square-foot, two-bedroom, one-bathroom suite is in a central location near Science World and the old Expo lands site.
The 17-year-old building has 165 units, a caretaker, an exercise room and underground parking. It’s within walking distance to a community centre, SkyTrain station, a marina and Main Street and Olympic Village shopping.
The unit has a new, modern look, with features that include pot lights, hardwood floors, gas fireplace and built-ins, ensuite laundry, and a bedroom with a Murphy bed that folds up and away to convert the space into an office.
The action
The sellers were a young family that wanted to upsize. About 10 groups viewed the unit and the sellers received one offer. First-time home buyers made the winning bid, which came with conditions.
“This unit was highly sought-after with many attendees at the open houses and private showings,” says listing agent Cheryl Davie. “Everyone had fantastic comments about the finishings and the decor. Throughout the time we spent on the market, the visitors’ comments were consistent – that they couldn’t believe it was still available.”
The sale completed Aug. 8.
The agent’s take
“The location is fantastic, sandwiched between the fabulous seawall and the new St. Paul’s Hospital,” said Ms. Davie.
