The action
A dozen people viewed the house and the agent received four offers. A young family sold the house and another young family purchased it.
“The fact that this home sold quickly and that we received more than one offer after the first week of open houses is indicative that the market has picked up compared to the summer months,” listing agent Cheryl Davie said.
What they got
This three-bedroom house has 2,612 square feet of living space and is in the east side Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood, close to schools and parks and located on a bike route. It has a fully finished basement with a one-bedroom suite.
The house was built in 1912 and has retained its heritage character. There are hardwood floors, a large updated kitchen and laundry room. The lot is 33- by-107.42 feet long, and there are views of the city from the living room and bedrooms.
The agent’s take
The agent said the house was in solid condition despite its age.
“The house had had some great renovations over all the years,” Ms. Davie said. “But also it has the ability for a new owner to come in and complete some upgrades to make the property feel like their own.”
The sale completed Oct. 26.
