LISTING AGENT: Jenelle Cameron, Re/Max Hallmark Realty Ltd.

The Action: Requests for private property tours often drop prior to the winter holidays, so this three-storey townhouse was fortunate to snag an offer in December. By January, all the paperwork was finalized for $615,000.

"It was a bit of a slower [process] because of the market conditions and the time of year," agent Jenelle Cameron said.

"Staging really helped because the rooms are quite small, so having the right type of furniture there made a huge difference."

What They Got: In a roughly 15-year-old complex, units of varying sizes are stacked on top of one another, but all offer street level access.

This upper level unit comes with a 200-square-foot rooftop terrace off the third floor and east-facing windows in the two bedrooms below and main-floor living and cooking quarters.

Conveniences include two bathrooms, kitchen and laundry appliances, as well as a locker and parking space. Monthly fees of $517 covers water costs.

The Agent's Take: "This is one of the only [condominium townhouse communities] around there until you go into the west end," Ms. Cameron said.

"I had more sign calls on this than I'd ever had from people who don't want a traditional condo, but can't afford a house. So this was a good middle point for them."
