This four-bedroom house about 60 kilometres east of Toronto was listed for $999,000, which pulled in 15 couples for home tours in January at a time when there were few other homes for sale in the area. Two visitors returned with offers, one of which came in $11,000 over asking.
“The market has really popped in the last three to four weeks – people seem to be less hesitant and less worried bout interest rates – but there was a lot of hesitation at the time that property was listed,” said agent Eddie Harnick.
“[However], there was not any real direct competition at the time. Inventory was fairly low.”
