In a neighbourhood where properties routinely sell between $3-million and $12-million, this three-storey house was earmarked at an asking price of nearly $6-million after Victoria Day. Negotiations ensued with offers from three buyers, all of whom insisted on steep discounts. One of the three rose to a bid of $5,350,018 to beat out a close rival.

“We chose that price because there wasn’t a lot on the market at that time, but there also hadn’t been very many sales either, so we knew it was worth over $5-million, but not as high as $6-million,” said agent Kimmé Myles.

“I was surprised it sold quickly given there was one quite close to Spadina Road that was listed for close to what we had listed ours and that was taken off the market because it didn’t sell.”

“It’s a very beautiful home, very well maintained, and it had unbelievable updates the average homeowner doesn’t necessarily do,” Ms. Myles said.

“My clients had a heated driveway, steps and walkway put in, so it had everything you could possibly think of.”

It also has ample room for families and friends. “It was a very large house,” said Ms. Myles.

“The lot size was very appealing, along with the fact there was a swimming pool.”
