We hope you've enjoyed our Buyer Diaries feature. The Globe and Mail would like to thank our bloggers, Carl, Kristin, Corey and Angela for sharing their stories with our readers. Here's where you can find a recap of Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3.
Corey, 35, and Angela, 33, have just sold their Halifax home and moved to Winnipeg.
They're hoping to find a three-bedroom home in Charleswood, Tuxedo or River Heights. However, Corey is a military officer and could be relocated in three to four years, so they need to be cautious about buying. They don't want to overpay for a house and then be forced to sell for less if prices drop.
Angela is a restaurant manager and food blogger who sometimes shoots videos at home, so she's looking for a good kitchen that can double as a studio.
The search has been challenging. On a recent week-long trip to Winnipeg, half the houses they were interested in sold before they had a chance to look. The others received multiple bids up to 15 per cent above the asking prices, and sold without inspections or any other conditions.
Now that Corey and Angela have moved to the city, they hope their search will be more successful.
