Did you know there are about 120,000 moose in Newfoundland and Labrador? That's five giant, hairy beasts per square kilometre of our most easterly province - we know, we almost hit nine of them on our last vacation.

So it's not surprising that St. John's-based Living Planet, an eco-cool custom screen-printer, has (literally) spun the ubiquitous creature into a one-of-a-kind T-shirt.

Their Spinnin' Moose tee, like all their shirts, is designed by a local artist and printed on hand-cut American Apparel fabrics using environmentally friendly processes. They stock the entire rainbow of AA's colours, so rest assured you can just as easily rock a teal tee with a baby-blue moose or a calmer black/forest green combination.

Be sure to check out the rest of Living Planet's online shop for more Newfoundland-inspired swag. Our other favourite shirts include Godzilla vs. Puffin, the Lichtenstein-style Newfoundlanders Are Friendly and, of course, the infamous I Club Baby Seals. Their St. John's store is worth a visit, but we'll settle for a little taste of the East Coast via the Internet.

$30, available at livingplanet.ca .
