When our co-worker walked into the office this week with a bag full of hip screen-printed tees and buttons, we were intrigued. Wolves battling sea monsters on a blue deep v-neck? An oversized werewolf in hipster glasses? Water-gun wielding pugs? We had to ask: Who was responsible for these weird, wonderful designs? We were disappointed when she said they were from a booth on the last day of the CNE.

However, we were elated upon discovering that the designers had a weird, wonderful website. Crywolf Clothing is the second clothing venture from the Toronto-based duo of Rose Chang and Stephanie Drabik. Each piece is handmade (with love, they note) and run in limited editions, ascribing to the Crywolf philosophy of producing affordable and wearable art. Their artwork inhabits a world of furry critters that swim, fly and sail across quirky and whimsical landscapes (i.e. your 100-per-cent cotton or tri-blend shirt).

In addition to guys and girls cuts, Crywolf offers kids shirts, buttons, totes and pocket mirrors. And you didn't hear it here, but use the code CNEfriends09 until Nov. 30 for a 15 per cent discount.

Shirts from $25, available at www.crywolfclothing.com.
