A Toronto man seriously wounded in a downtown shooting early Sunday has died, pushing the city's homicide total for the year to 48.

Qoheleth Chong, 23, was shot in the neck shortly before 1 a.m. as he walked near College and Lippincott streets.

No arrests have been made.

Two men were spotted fleeing the scene, police said, and detectives are anxious to interview anyone with information.
