Toronto police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found Sunday morning near a pier at Queens Quay and York Street.

The body was found by a passerby at about 7:15 a.m., said Constable Tom Gabriel. Since then, officers from the local division have been at the scene, which is now roped off, and a forensic unit is examining the area, he said.

Constable Gabriel said a coroner is at the scene and police probably won't be release more information until an autopsy is completed and relatives are contacted.
