He's aged between 14 and 17 months, with brown eyes and brown curly hair worn in a small ponytail, tied with a blue elastic.
He's also in good health, and for now police have no reason to believe he's been abused or that anyone intended any harm.
But now the little boy too young to talk has been returned to his mother
He was found at 11:30 a.m. behind the Shops at Don Mills, near the intersection of Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue East, and Detective Darren Berezowski of 33 Division says police had no clue as to how he got there.
The boy is white, with a noticeable scratch on his nose. He is wearing blue-jean shorts, a blue shirt with a bird wearing pink glasses on the front, purple All Stars shoes, grey socks with a turquoise ring around the ankle.
Before he was discovered, he was glimpsed on video with a group of four to five adults and two or three other children, who all left the plaza together in a white van.
