An autopsy is to be done on the body of an elderly man found in a ravine in Toronto's High Park Monday evening, believed by police to be that of a west-end resident reported missing four days earlier.
Foul play is not suspected.
Michael John Hamill, known as Mickey, was last seen Thursday morning in the park near the Grenadier Restaurant.
The 67-year-old man had taken a cab from his Junction-area home and was to have attended a doctor's appointment at St. Joseph's Health Centre later that day.
Volunteers and police scoured High Park on the weekend, posters of the missing man were tacked up along nearby streets and there were numerous contributions to the search on Twitter and Facebook.
