Visitors wander through Life After Utopia, an interactive participatory project by Alexander Hong, William Pemulis and Sheraz Khan. The exhibit is part of An Honest Farewell which is being held at the former location of Honest Eds store this weekend. The event put on by Toronto For Everyone (an initiative of the Centre for Social Innovation) featured live performances, interactive art installations and kids programs, as they said good bye and farewell to the iconic discount store at Bathurst St. and Bloor St. West.

A group from of the Six Nations were harvesting deer in the closed park, following their treaty right to do so. Protesters opposed the the hunt blocked vehicles from leaving the park at the end of the day.

Byron Ruttan is photographed in his Verona, Ont. home. At the conclusion of a trial, the judge stated as fact, that Ruttan was raped 50 times by a court appointed mentor in 1979. In 2009, the mentor was charged, but the trial took 3 years, and though he was found guilty and sentenced to four years, the Supreme Court threw out the conviction, because of the three-year delay.

Leonard Crawford, 54, is photographed on George St. in Thunder Bay, Ont. outside the Shelter Hous. Crawford, who lost him home after he was unable to keep up with tax payments, sleeps and has meals at Shelter House. In 2003, he hurt his back while working as a cleaner at a MacDonalds restaurant and and eventually left to take care of his father. The provincial government in Ontario is considering implementing a basic income for residents that could replace welfare.
