THE PARTY: DUDESWEET

Eight years ago, graphic designer Note Pongsuang saw a boring Bangkok club scene. There was Top 40 dancing and bad Thai pop, but no party for the city's underground culture vultures. Today, Pongsuang's semi-regular Dudesweet parties are the toast of Bangkok's blossoming set of young artists, DJs and journalists who crave indie rock, electro and other less mainstream fare.

Dudesweet eschews the big-club mentality, so the best way to find out about the next shindig is to hit Facebook, MySpace and Twitter (venues vary). And don't forget to look for your happy, delirious party pictures online the morning after.
