GISELE

We're going to file this one under "Step Down." Supermodel Gisele, fresh from her Victoria's Secret contract, is the new face of ... Max Factor. Come on, you recall Max Factor. It's that makeup company that has disappeared from most beauty counters. That for the past three years was promoted by Carmen Electra. That was in the headlines when one of Max Factor's great-grandchildren was jailed for sexual assault.

ROMEThere you go.

We're sure the Pope will have something to say. Rev. Antonio Rungi, a Roman Catholic priest, announced this week he is launching Miss Sister 2008, an online beauty pageant for, yes, nuns. That is going to be one boring evening-wear competition.

PUSSYCAT DOLL LINGERIE

La Senza has announced it will be selling the new Pussycat Dolls lingerie line, officially known as "Shhh...by Robin Antin" (she's the choreographer behind the scantily clad girl group). A sneak peek reveals lots of garters, lace and frilly bright-red bras. Ordinarily, we would mock such an endeavour, but truth is La Senza could use some sexing up. Its offerings have always been so tame compared with Victoria's Secret naughty wares. And we're Canadian! What else are we going to do in the winter?
