KANYE WEST
Say what you like about his music and whiny bravado, Kanye West is a man of style. His blog, http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com, regularly "educates" readers on the latest design news from all areas - decor, fashion, art, you name it. So while we look upon most celebrity fashion ventures as indulgences, the news that Kanye West will be designing men's footwear for Louis Vuitton gives us hope. Make no mistake, this is still a vanity project. Just one that's bound to be good, or at least interesting, for once.

McFLY NIKE SNEAKER
It's a glorious day in nerd neighbourhood. For years, fans of the Back to the Future series have been lobbying Nike to produce the funky kicks worn by Michael J. Fox as he rides a hoverboard in No. 2 of the series. Two Canadian brothers even set up http://www.mcfly2015.com, an online petition site. Now, Nike has - sort of - made their dreams come true. Limited-edition Nike Hyperdunk shoes that bear a striking resemblance to the movie shoes went on sale this week. There is no official link to the film, but the colour is right, the design is similar and tongue says "2015" (the year of the hoverboard) on one side and "Great Scott!!" (zany scientist Doc Brown's catchphrase on the other). Want a pair? They're selling for hundreds on eBay. Great Scott!!
