Person

Kate Moss

Fifty bucks says that when December 2008 rolls around Kate Moss will end up on the wrong side of every "what's in, what's out" chart. Her downfall began early this week, when she placed second in Tatler magazine's annual list of best-dressed women (after scoring the No. 1 spot two years in a row). But an even bigger blow was struck on Tuesday, when her latest Topshop collection hit the shelves and no one seemed to care. Last year, crowds lined up outside for hours to buy a piece of Moss. This year ... tumbleweeds. Maybe it's time to start dating Pete Doherty again.

Place

Macy's

There are so many things wrong with the latest Macy's commercial campaign that we're not sure which part to start picking on first. Dude, you won an Oscar for Rain Man. If this is the sort of pitch an economic downturn brings, things are going to be even worse than we thought.

Thing

Roberto Cavalli vodka

It's been a busy year for Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. He designed the Spice Girls's tour costumes, a collection for H&M and a vodka. A premium vodka, of course. After all, he's a respected designer of luxury goods. He wouldn't want to do anything that would tarnish his image.
