SUZANNE PLUNKETT

Person Patricia Field No matter what you may think of the Sex and the City movie sequel, the contribution to the fashion world of Patricia Field, the show's long-time stylist, cannot be underestimated. Now Field, who has had a long-time partnership with Payless Shoe Source, has designed a special charm necklace inspired by her work on the movie. The piece features a four-leaf clover - no doubt to produce good vibes so the dubious-looking film doesn't bomb.

Place London The world was terror-stricken this week upon the unveiling of the mascots for London's 2012 Olympic Games. The mystifying "Wenlock" and "Mandeville," allegedly characters from a children's story, faced a storm of criticism by everyone from the Twtiterati to, er, national newspapers. Well, this stops now. It's time to stand up and defend those who cannot defend themselves because they don't have mouths or ears or - ah, you know what? Forget it.

Thing Strut for a Cure Far from just a pretty face, Canadian model Coco Rocha has long been an activist for many worthy causes. This year, she reprises her role as the organizer and star of Strut for a Cure (www.strutforacure.com), a fashion show and party that raises money for children's cancer charities. This is the second year for the event, which will be held at Toronto's Berkeley Church on Thurs., May 27. Fashion with heart? Sounds like a success already.
