Leo Chow, proprietor of the Brickhouse tavern in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, pours about 400 draft beers a day, six days a week, and has been at it for 16 years. He thinks he has five more years left in him. The bar is filled with photos, collectibles and tchotchkes. 'I think at the end of the day when I pack it in ... I'll probably have a silent auction or a live one. I'll keep a couple of items. The proceeds I would like to donate to a couple of my charities in Vancouver,' he says. 'Customers, they get to keep a piece of Brickhouse, and the charities, they benefit and I can walk out of here and feel pretty good about it.'

"I'm on the stage and I know roughly when the curtain calls will be, but I don't know the script and I don't know the cast."
