As mind planet Mercury turns retrograde on your birthday your biggest concern must be to keep things simple both at home and at work. The less complicated the goals you set for yourself this year the more likely it is you will reach them.
ARIES (March 21 - April 20):
Be wary of people who try to sell you an idea that requires some kind of upfront investment. Almost certainly they want to get you involved so if things go wrong they can spread their losses. It’s not an opportunity, it’s a liability.
TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):
You will get advice from all directions today and if you are smart you will ignore every word of it. As Mercury, planet of communication, begins one of its retrograde phases in your sign most of what you hear is likely to be totally wrong.
GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):
You need to get to the root of a problem that has been bothering you for some time but as your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde today that won’t be easy. Don’t let wishful thinking guide your actions. Trust the facts and nothing else.
CANCER (June 22 - July 23):
Don’t make too many social plans for today and over the weekend because it’s unlikely you can trust other people to keep to schedule or even show up. Instead, spend some quality time with the person who matters most in your life – yourself.
LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):
Something you hear from a work colleague may sound like good news today but can you be sure they are telling you the truth? The planets warn they could be trying to mislead you or have themselves been misled by other people.
VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):
You may be annoyed that a friend has let you down but don’t make an issue of it. Instead, pretend they are still in your good books, at least until you have calmed down a bit. On this occasion revenge is a dish best served cold.
LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):
The more you chop and change today the less likely it is people will trust you with important matters over the weekend. They need someone who can be relied on to focus on the job in hand and see it through from A to Z.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):
It may seem as if you are out of favor with certain individuals but you cannot please all of the people all of the time, so don’t bust a gut trying. Act as if you just don’t care and most likely they’ll end up trying to please you.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):
You are determined to get started on a new creative project but the planets warn it might be best to put it off for a week or two, or even three. As Mercury begins its retrograde phase it’s likely that what you start now will never get finished.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):
Someone will try to undermine your confidence today but they will only succeed if you take what they say seriously. It should be easy enough to see that they are playing on your fears, so close your ears and pretend you can’t hear them.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):
You need to get your likes and dislikes into the open where they can be dealt with. Not everyone will be happy that you are bringing up matters they hoped had been laid to rest but you are not the sort to leave them in a state of limbo.
PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):
Because there are so many important chores that need to be completed before the weekend arrives you won’t have much time for social activities. Get your act together and get them done, then you can enjoy yourself later with a clear conscience.
