After a long night of trick or treating, the next logical step for many costumed children is to take stock of their score. Some kids like to organize by chocolate, candy or carb (i.e. mini bags of chips), while others organize their favourites into different piles. For those with siblings, tense rounds of trading begin, while the value of Oh Henrys versus Reese Peanut Butter Cups is debated.

Of course, this doesn’t just apply to the elementary school set: everyone has a favourite Halloween treat. But which is the most popular? We pit our favourites against one another in a winner-takes-all bracket.

In round four, after more than 800 votes were cast, Kit-Kat emerged as the clear winner, with a 222 vote margin. Snickers ended as the runner up.

Thank you for participating in the Globe’s halloween bracket this year. Throughout the week, readers cast more than 50,000 votes to pick their favourite sweet treat during Halloween season.

If we didn’t include your personal fave, leave a comment below or send us an email at audience@globeandmail.com to make your case as to why that missing candy is the best.
