Are you using apps like Tinder and Hinge? Or have you given up online dating altogether? We want to hear from you.AKHTAR SOOMRO/Reuters

In the past decade or so, online dating became the default way many people found a potential partner, with apps like Tinder, Hinge, eHarmony and Plenty of Fish all promising to make dating more fun, easy and efficient. In 2022, nine per cent of Canadians reported using dating apps, according to Statistics Canada, nearly double the number in 2018.

But there’s also a growing frustration among daters that this kind of digital courtship feels too much like a game, where the rewards are diminishing in quality.

Has the shine of swiping worn off? Is online dating still the best way to meet people? Is it even fun anymore?

We want to hear from Canadians, who are 20 years and older, about how they’re dating now: Are you still using the apps? How have you seen online dating change? Have you reached app-fatigue and are now turning to alternative methods, like speed dating or a matchmaker? We want to hear your stories about how you’re dating now.

Tell us your experiences in the box below or email sedwards@globeandmail.com. Please include your age and your province/city in your response.
