PERSON ALICE POINT
"You have a face for radio" may be one of our favourite expressions, but it's certainly not the nicest thing to say. In the spirit of shedding our mean-girl tendencies, then, we're trying out the much more flattering "you have a face for T-shirts."
Our inspiration? Polish fashion blogger Alice Point, whose lovely mug has been immortalized in an illustration printed on a T-shirt being sold at Forever 21.
Your face on a shirt? That's Justin Bieber territory. Well done, Miss Point.

PLACE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION
Former U.S. secretary of state Madeleine Albright never struck us as much of a style icon. So imagine our surprise when the Smithsonian Institution recently mounted an exhibition of brooches she sported during her tenure.
Opening on Friday, Read My Pins will reportedly feature more than 200 of them, "many of which she wore to communicate messages" on her diplomatic rounds. We wonder what her famous bee brooches signalled? That she was as busy as one … or had a sting?

THING MISS AMERICA KIDS CLOTHING LINE
Here she is: Little Miss America. Yes, the much-debated 90-year-old organization dedicated to showcasing those perfect, preening all-American princesses is gearing up to release a line of children's clothing.
In a (gratefully acknowledged) shift from the pageant's spangled gowns and teeny bikinis, officials say the line will feature terry-cloth hoodies, striped dresses and lots of pink.
Batons to twirl in the "talent" competition are not included, but surely can't be far behind.
