charting retirement

Charting Retirement is a weekly snapshot of retirement-related data.

On average, women enjoy four to five more years of retirement than men, since they tend to retire earlier and live longer. The number of retirement years peaked for both sexes around 2011, at which point retirement ages started increasing faster than life expectancies.
