Retirement is top of mind for many Canadians, and never more so than during RRSP season.
This year's deadline for making a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings Plan is March 1, and although people can make a contribution at any time, most wait until the first two months of the year to turn their attention to their retirement savings.
If you are struggling to figure out whether you can make a contribution and how much, The Globe and Mail's personal finance site has plenty of stories, videos, columns, polls and galleries to help you make the right decision. You can even submit your RRSP-related questions to be answered by a financial advisor online.
Globe Investor columnist and money expert Preet Banerjee appears in a series of RRSP videos. We also have stories on the top mutual fund picks for your RRSP and book excerpts from financial authors including David Trahair.
There will be plenty more videos, columns, poll results, galleries and stories to come as we approach the contribution deadline. Some of the topics we'll cover in the coming weeks: Should you forget RRSPs and pay down your mortgage? What should you put in your RRSP? How the self-employed can use RRSPs to lower their taxes.
We're sure you'll find all of the answers you are looking for this RRSP season on the Globe Investor personal finance site.
