DEALS OF THE WEEK

Expanding model lines and introduction of new brands giving customers unprecedented choice in luxury segment

This year was record-setting in the Canadian auto industry by many measures. New vehicle sales in 2017 will exceed two million units for the first time in history. The popularity of SUVs and pickups are at an all-time high. And the market share of luxury brands has hit a new peak, representing nearly 12 per cent of new vehicles sold.

The rise of the luxury segment is in large part due to expanding model lines and the introduction of new brands, combining to give customers unprecedented choice. Recent new entrants to the Canadian market have included Alfa Romeo and Genesis. Brands with rich history are undergoing revivals, such as Volvo, which is aggressively redesigning and extending its lineup. And nearly every luxury brand has entered the SUV battle, with even a performance brand such as Maserati aiming to fuel ongoing growth with its Levante.

We've featured the best deals on our favourite luxury newcomers this week. If you don't find an offer that suits you, be sure to check out the new Globe Drive Build and Price Tool to see the latest incentives and discounts on any new car, truck or SUV.
