There’s so much fascinating research on how important it is for kids to have friends – better health, mental health, better academic performance, less truancy, not to mention the normal development of independence – but at the same time, there are reports of a huge loneliness epidemic among young people.
The Globe’s Dave McGinn is looking to speak with children between the ages of 10 and 17 about all things friendship for a future story. How did they meet their friends? What activities do they do with them? How important are friendships to them?
We’d love to hear from both you and your children about their experiences making meaningful friendships. If you’d like to share your thoughts, answer the Google form below or e-mail DMcGinn@globeandmail.com.
