From Globe editorial: Don’t forget about Yemen, Saudi Arabia’s other atrocity
Excellent editorial. I agree. It is high time Trudeau stops hiding behind his predecessor and re-examines arms sales to the Saudis. - freshycat
What business is this of ours as far as the Saudis are concerned? Contrary to The Globe’s holier than thou editorial comment: “The world community has been shocked by such butchery – not least because it was committed with the goal of silencing a peaceful critic of an autocratic regime,” I don’t hear a word from Italy, China, Mexico, India, Korea (both North and South), Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, Chile etc. Are they not part of the world community? It seems as if it is just Canada, as usual, sticking our nose where it does not belong, along with the U.S., Germany and France. You play with fire, you get burned. Quite simple really. - Amarone
And the U.S. and Britain are happily supplying support to the Saudis in this despicable killing. - londoner15

Finally, a country with courage who will take action against Saudi Arabia. We must all follow the example of Germany and stop pandering to these evil doers. - zuglo9
If our leaders haven't the strength of character to suspend our contract with the Saudis and also support those whose jobs the action will put at risk, then why are they our leaders? If Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland will not walk the talk, then let us find someone who will, when we go to the polls in 2019. - IanWigle1
