Thanks Lorraine. I know your country is in turmoil right now, but I love America. I find the folks very friendly and you have as beautiful a land as ours. There are a lot of Canadians rooting for you. - Black_Canary

Thank you, Lorraine. I know there are many fans of Canada in the U.S. We can’t forget that there are great things about the U.S., or we risk the kind of smugness that may tarnish the very fine culture we have worked hard to create up here. - PeterAAllen

Thank you Lorraine for your kind and heartfelt words. We love that you come here and feel at home, you're welcome anytime! - xxmfxx

Thank you for that very nice piece. My wife and I are Canadians, and are vacationing in California for the month of November (for the fifth year in a row). We love Americans and feel very blessed to be able to visit the USA on a regular basis. - KEClark

I must admit that the most enduring happy memory of my first trip to Toronto 40 years ago was seeing the sign "Please walk on the grass". - KH32

We appreciate the thoughts you have shared. We are proud of our country which is rated so highly in many world rankings. Don't be too hard on your own country however. After spending many winters in Florida we have only good feelings about the wonderful friends and neighbours at the community where we lived. The only people I hear complaining about Americans are those who have never spent much time in the US. I cannot think of another country with whom I would want to share thousands of miles of nearly unguarded border. - waynes2

I’m glad that you like Canada. I have grown to love your country equally. We are all North Americans and we can be proud of that fact. - sanctimonious

Canada’s strongest attribute is its success with multiculturalism. The days of being defined by beer, toques and hockey are behind us. I, for one, couldn’t be happier. - ap_64987632

You made my eyes leak! Hang in there, we’re rooting for you! - Lizart123

I love all you said and felt Lorraine about my home and native land. I, like you, love Canada. Your heartfelt experiences made me feel slightly ungrateful, and made me determined to look, feel and appreciate even more what we have. - Kevan59
