Alberta RCMP say no injuries have been reported after an early morning fire in Fort Saskatchewan spread to six homes.

Cpl. Deanna Fontaine says emergency crews responded to a residential structure fire around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday in the Woodsmere Close area.

She says the fire has since spread to six adjoining homes.

No injuries have been reported after Fontaine says residents were evacuated from the homes.

She says crews continue to work on the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
