Jane Mactaggart, President & Chief Executive Officer, Tundra Oil & Gas is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Sommerfeld as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Sommerfeld is an accomplished business leader bringing more than 24 years of executive experience with public and private companies. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer & Executive Vice President at Ag Growth International Inc. (“AGI”). In his time at AGI, Mr. Sommerfeld guided the finance function through significant growth while being instrumental in both organic development and business acquisitions.
Mr. Sommerfeld is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (Bachelor of Commerce), and a Chartered Accountant.
Tundra Oil & Gas is a wholly-owned business of Winnipeg-based James Richardson & Sons, Limited. Tundra commenced operations in January 1980 and currently produces 30,000 barrels of light crude oil per day. Tundra’s core properties are located within the Williston Basin in southwest Manitoba and southeast Saskatchewan.
