Ken Seitz, President and Chief Executive Officer, NutrienSupplied

Nutrien is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Seitz to the permanent position of President and Chief Executive Officer as well as a member of the Board of Directors as of August 8, 2022.

Ken has served as interim CEO since January 2022 and brings more than 25 years of global management experience working across more than 60 countries, with an extensive background in agriculture and mining. Ken joined Nutrien in 2019 as Executive Vice President and CEO of Potash.

Earlier in his career, Ken served as President and CEO of Canpotex, one of the world’s largest suppliers of potash, giving him extensive experience in global fertilizer marketing and logistics and strong connections within the industry.

In his interim role, Ken demonstrated his commitment to Nutrien’s future during a turbulent year.

In the past eight months, Ken has helped the company gain momentum and achieve record results, delivered bold actions in response to the global crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, advanced the organization’s set strategy and brought together stakeholders to help navigate these unprecedented challenges.

Ken has strong ties to the Saskatchewan region after growing up on a dairy farm in the province and has a deep appreciation for the area’s history. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan and a Professional Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists. Ken also holds a Certificate in Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
