Shannon Busta was an award-winning digital journalist in Toronto with a decade of experience. She held the position of Audience Strategist at The Globe and Mail.

Shannon spends much of her time thinking about and testing new forms of storytelling and community building. She is particularly interested in platforms and tools that facilitate the sharing of stories and voices less often heard in mainstream media.

Shannon is also committed to working with young journalists through official and unofficial mentorship programs, and is a member of the Board of Directors at U of T’s student newspaper, The Varsity.

Shannon is completing an Executive MBA at the Ivey School of Business at Western University while working full-time.
