Sean Gordon joined the Globe's Quebec bureau in 2008 and covered the Canadiens, Alouettes and Impact, as well as Quebec's contingent of Olympic athletes until 2017. A native of Ottawa, he is a graduate of McGill University and the University of Regina, and in his two decades of newspaper journalism has covered crime and the courts in Calgary and Regina, as well as politics in Edmonton, Quebec City, and Ottawa. He also reported on George W. Bush's White House and from far-flung places like the jungles of Borneo and the southern coast of Haiti. He covered the Montreal Expos in the early Oughts but prefers not to talk about it.
