Peter Nowak has been writing about technology for 20 years, with a focus on trends and how they affect the world. He worked at The Globe and Mail between 1997 and 2004 before moving to China and then New Zealand, where he won the award for best technology reporter at the New Zealand Herald. When he returned home in 2006, he worked as the technology and telecom reporter at the National Post and then the CBC, where he won the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance prize for excellence in reporting.

Peter is also the author of Sex, Bombs and Burgers: How War, Porn and Fast Food Created Technology as We Know It, and Humans 3.0: The Upgrading of the Species. He is currently a syndicated columnist, freelance journalist in Toronto and is working on his next book, The Rise of Real-Life Superheroes and the Fall of Everything Else, about real-life super heroes.
