Maryam Shah has worked in Canadian media since 2012 as a reporter, producer and editor. Highlights include covering Toronto City Hall during the Rob Ford years and working on explainers during the start of COVID-19 in 2020. She has worked at the Toronto Sun and Global News as a reporter, and at the Toronto Star as digital producer and evening assignment editor. She joined The Globe and Mail as regional editor in 2022 with a focus on Western Canada, and now works on the programming and audience team on live news, newsletters and alerts.
