Marsha McLeod was a reporter with the Globe's Ottawa bureau. Over her career, Marsha has largely reported on inequality, health care, and criminal legal systems – writing features for a variety of outlets, from Xtra Magazine to The Atlantic, as well as non-profit outlets like Investigative Post, which is based in Buffalo, N.Y., and The Trace, a New York-based newsroom that covers gun violence. Marsha was an investigative fellow at the Globe from 2019-2020, where she largely covered jail and prison conditions. She studied investigative reporting at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, graduating with honors in May, 2018.
