James Christie was a sports reporter for The Globe and Mail. Since 1974, he interviewed prominent athletes from Joe DiMaggio, to Muhammad Ali, to Jim Brown to Wayne Gretzky. He covered the Toronto Maple Leafs and 13 Olympic Games with features that included Alex Baumann, Ben Johnson, Pierre Lueders and Gaetan Boucher.
