Why did you become a journalist?

I liked sports, and I liked to write. So I wandered into the student newspaper office at the University of Calgary (The Gauntlet), announced, "I like sports and I like to write," and they assigned me a story. I've been writing ever since, though I'm still waiting to be offered the Calgary Stampeders beat.
