Catriona Koenig is a Globe and Mail Mentorship Program mentee as part of The Globe’s ongoing five-year partnership with Carleton University. She is Yellowknives Dene First Nation. Catriona is interested in covering Indigenous affairs, events and issues. In the summer of 2021, she worked as an intern for Cabin Radio, an independent news organization for the Northwest Territories. Here, she published 20 articles and hosted Cabin Radio's morning and lunchtime news. Catriona will be graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University. She has received the K. Phyllis Wilson Scholarship in Journalism for two consecutive years.
