A middle-aged man was found dead in a west Toronto schoolyard Christmas morning, but who he is and how he died remain a mystery.

Police were called to Kent Senior Public School, on Dufferin Street just south of Bloor, shortly before 8:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

There they found the victim, who had collapsed. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
