Born on Canada's East Coast, Moe Doiron is currently a staff photographer at The Globe and Mail in Toronto. Since 1984 he has worked as a photojournalist and photo editor in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto for Reuters, The Canadian Press, the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail. He has lectured on photojournalism ethics, multimedia development and serves as an advisor to Canada's Loyalist College Photojournalism program. He received top honors for his work in the former Yugoslavia by the National Press Photographers Association and the Canadian News Photographers Association Pictures of the Year. His work has also been recognized by the National Newspaper Awards and the Society for Newspaper Design.
