With the new version of the Globe Politics app, we've made use of Twitter as a way to keep you even more connected to what's happening on the campaign trail, up to the minute.
(If you aren't seeing the Twitter features in your app, you probably need to upgrade. You can do that through the Apple App Store or BlackBerry App World. Feel free to e-mail us if you have trouble, or questions: mobile@globeandmail.com)
This had been called Canada's first social-media campaign. Platforms like Twitter are a great way to connect with other Canadians who are passionate about politics. We have lists that follow MPs and their staffers, and one dedicated to the leaders of the five main parties. We have a list that follows The Globe and Mail's campaign team, as well as lists dedicated to other political media and pundits. The goal is to make these lists as broad and balanced as possible, so if you feel like there's a name we've missed, feel free to send us a note.
That's about it. As always, we welcome your feedback on what works and what doesn't, and on any features you'd like to see in future releases.
